Overview
What this treatment does
Beard transplant uses the same FUE technique as hair transplant, but the artistry is in the angle and direction of implantation. Facial hair grows at a flatter, more acute angle than scalp hair, and the surgeon places each graft to match your natural beard pattern.
Treatment options
How we approach it
01
Assessment
We map the areas to fill — moustache, chin, sideburns, jawline. We assess donor hair quality from the scalp.
02
Donor Harvesting
Follicles harvested from the back of the scalp using FUE. Scalp hair is slightly finer but blends naturally with beard hair.
03
Implantation
Grafts implanted at a 30–45 degree angle to match natural beard growth direction. Density is built up gradually to avoid a 'pluggy' look.
04
Recovery
Redness for 3–5 days. Shedding at 2–4 weeks. New growth at 3–4 months. Full beard at 9–12 months. You can shave after 4 weeks.
Realistic expectations
What results to realistically expect
A beard transplant fills gaps; it does not create a forest where none was meant to grow. Final density matches your genetic potential. The transplanted hair is permanent and grows like a normal beard — shave, trim, style as you wish.
Suitability
Is this right for you?
Good for
- Men with patchy beards but adequate donor hair
- Scarring from acne or injury in the beard area
- Stable expectations (need 9–12 months for full result)
Not suitable if
- Active folliculitis (treat infection first)
- Very sparse body hair and poor scalp donor
- Expecting overnight results
